Overview You will be responsible for sales activity for the market intelligence division of BSRIA Asia Pacific,management of several major accounts and development of new business.

Our research is performed through a dedicated team of international consultants based in the UK and abroad.Quality is assured through BSRIA''s network of industry contacts,sound methodology and experience over 30 years.Due to a rapid expansion of our business we are seeking staff for our newly opened office in Beijing,which will service the whole of China and other parts of Asia.The sales manager will work closely with the research team in order to provide accurate product information to clients and retain feedback useful for development of the research portfolio and client relationships.
The role
This is a telephone and personal sales role.You will have responsibility for sales of market intelligence to a well-established client base as well as new customers in China and other parts of Asia.The role requires ongoing strategic vision to ensure a coordinated and efficient sales effort that delivers optimum sales across the entire product portfolio.
You will have responsibility for the sales activity of our overseas agents in France,Germany,Spain and the US,and work closely with our UK HQ office to co-ordinate sales globally.

You will be the sort of person who likes to work on your own initiative, an intuitive person and one who enjoys determining client''s real needs and then working out how best to meet them.You are able to promote a strong commercial focus in a research environment.
You get a real buzz when you land an order and,as a good team player,you enthuse others around you to feel the same.You have high energy levels and like to pursue sales through to the final order.
You like to walk with giants in major companies,but prefer the flexibility that comes from working in a small company yourself.
Tasks -Sell our multi client studies by telephone and in person -Manage a large number of established accounts and development of new business for both off-the-shelf reports and consulting services -Manage sales representatives internally,Chinese partners and overseas including partners and staff in Europe,Asia and the US -Develop sustainable relationships with clients via phone,face to face selling and presentations -Determine our clients'' satisfaction with the work we do and maintain a high level of repeat business -Understand client needs for input to product development -Provide written quotes,convert orders and develop pricing strategies -Visit clients,mainly in China but also worldwide,to develop business or complete large deals -Travel to international and local exhibitions and manage sales activity there with client visits -Work with general manager and project managers to devise sales plans and strategic input for regular review -Provide input into project planning, specifically for sales potential to specific groups and pricing -Attend internal sales and marketing meetings, with other sales and marketing specialists in the HQ. |

Experience and qualifications
English speaker.
Several years of sales experience is essential,and you will be able to demonstrate your ability to close the sale.You should also have excellent presentation and communication skills.You need to be a good team leader who can work with different nationalities within our international teams and motivate already busy people to do more.
The post will suit someone who has sold research or consultancy type solutions,preferably in a technical field. It is a job for someone who understands the value of high quality research and is motivated by both customer satisfaction and sales targets.
Other attributes that would be beneficial: A familiarity with the HVAC or market intelligence industries Fluency in any European languages
Reporting General Manager,BSRIA China
Employment This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week and the package includes a basic salary plus commission and bonuses. OTE depending on previous relevant experience with an annual performance and career appraisal.House funding is based on 12% your basic salary. Benefits include 15 days holiday per year. |
