| |
To carry out the assigned tasks and report progress to the R&D Head.
Comply with and follow the directives, instructions and procedures implemented in the R&D Center.
To support the R&D or HW manager in the task to ensure that the HW design activities fulfill the needs within the R&D Center in an efficient way.
Recommend new technical solutions
2.Main tasks
The tasks of the SW Engineer include participation in one or more of the following:
Responsible to ensure quality of the deliverables (products, processes and services) from the job assigned covering system design to End-user documentation
Participate in technical co-ordination teams, when applicable.
Attend technical seminars.
Participate in pre-studies, ensuring transfer of applicable knowledge. |

University degree in CS, EE, Telecom or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of Communication systems and their design
Understanding of the Telecom market and its players
Good communication skills and social ability.
Fluent in English speaking and writing.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a relevant technical areas; e.g. Transmission networks (SDH, Metro Ethernet MEF etc), Access technologies (xDSL, PON, CATV etc) or IP Access Aggregation (Ethernet Switching, Routing, QoS etc), with proven industry experience.
At least one non-pure-academic vertical task and have made major contribution.
Well organised, flexible and professional.
Effective written and oral English communication skills
Excellent teamwork and cooperation spirit, both professional and personal integrity, proactive and positive learning attitude
Experience with SW development in these languages:
C/C++ language (Mandatory)
JAVA (Preferred)
Network Processors (Preferred)
CORBA (Optional)
Experience with SW development in these environments
Linux (Mandatory)
VxWorks (Optional)
Solaris (Optional)
Or/And experience with embedded HW design on these platforms
PPC
ARM
RISC
DSP
Experience in at least one of the following areas:
Routing
L2 & L3 Ethernet Switching
Network Management
SNMP
TCP/IP Protocol Stack
VoIP via SIP (H.248)
Web based user interface for residential equipment
xDSL systems and technologies
xPON systems and technologies (Especially GPON) |
